TPPA represents 73 cities that own and
operate their own electric utility systems. We also represent several
electric cooperatives, river authorities and small joint action agencies in
Texas. Our member systems range in size from CPS Energy of San Antonio (the
largest), to the City of Goldsmith (the smallest). Together municipal
utilities provide electric service to over 3 million Texans, or nearly 15%
of the state’s retail electric customers.
